"Tiwimuta is the acronym for : "This Is What It Made Us Think About", which encourages the spontaneous thought provocation process. This name was given by Andre Walker to his zine magazine (this image is embracing the cover of the first issue). V-magazine described the mage as "...neo post 911..." For me, the image evokes hope. The building is stripped down, but stays intact."

"This image is shot with a light similar to the Dutch Golden Age Painting style.
The soft light is illuminating the model from one side, and is creating the triangular highlight underneath her eye."

"In this body of work, I created a large "canvas" of a photographic collage from images that are related to The Chassidic landlords in my neighborhood in Bushwick, and with images of models that I shot while living in the spaces owned by them. I then sliced up sections of the bigger collage, and created separate independent images. This image’s second title is "Friendship" as written in bold Hebrew letters. It is referring to the impossible true friendship between a Chassidic landlord to a non Jewish or non-religious tenant."

"In this image the female has become a princess, a goddess, a symbol of desire.
She is a symbol of the golden calf that the Israelites started cherishing when Moses was on the Mount of Sinai, and his returned was delayed."

"The body of work "Landlords" came from bitter experiences that I had with a few landlord, and was ignited by a tragic kidnapping and murder of a landlord that I knew. The red diagonal mark on the face of the Chassidic landlord is not intended to be an eraser of him…it’s just a part of a graphic element from the bigger collage that this close-up was cropped in."

"The image of the landlord shows him with grace, but is loaded also with tension and suspicious that could be seen from his eyes.
The subject is not sure what the artist will do with the image he is taking but is willingly exposing himself to the camera, presenting self-assurance.
The tension alludes to the differences of the agendas of landlords and tenants. “I Told You” refers to the artist telling the landlord that art/image is powerful …not less than the power of money that the landlord might hold."

"This is a close-up of the model Carla that appears in the work: "Lanlord 2"
The strap over her shoulder is holding an accordion, an instrument that I used to play growing up as a kid in Tel Aviv, Israel.
This instrument was introduced to me by my parents, who are, originally, from East Europe, and I was giving it to the model to pose with."

"The second title for this image is "The Landlord Of This Building", as written in Hebrew in bold letters.
The image is a tight crop from a much bigger "canvas" of a photographic collage (done with photoshop) that deals also with the relationship between Chassidic landlords and their secular artists tenants, based on my personal experiences and encounters with Chassidic landlords. The Chassidic men are not supposed to touch (not even a hand shake) a woman, unless she’s the wife."
